Great Decisions provides participants with a way to better understand critical world issues, economics, current events and international relations. The Dayton Daily News Op-Ed page publishes an eight-week series annually (usually beginning in late January) on the Great Decisions topics, authored by various local experts.

Great Decisions study groups meet at various locations on regularly scheduled dates and times to discuss world affairs topics and events. The group meetings are free and open to the public, unless otherwise specified. The Great Decisions study guide can be purchased to use in conjunction with study groups.

To find a discussion group in your area, call the Dayton Council on World Affairs office at 937-229-2319.

———Insights———

Insights is a series that povides a forum for informal sharing of travel experiences by Dayton-area residents. More than just a travelogue, each Insights lecture is an opportunity to view events, people and places from "behind-the-scenes." As individuals with first-hand experience, our speakers help foster and promote a deeper understanding of cultures and governments outside our own familiar United States borders.

Lectures are open to the public at a cost of $3.00 per program, payable at the door. The total cost for the lecture and a box luncheon is $10.00. You can order it by calling the DCOWA office at 229-2319. INSIGHTS

The DCOWA's "Insights" series provides an overview of political, economic, and cultural developments in countries around the world.
